DSMI's formål er at udbrede viden om og øge interessen for medicinsk informatik. Formålet opnås bl.a. gennem afholdelse af f.eks. medlemsmøder, konferencer og kurser, udgivelse af et medlemsblad og deltagelse i nationalt og internationalt samarbejde inden for medicinsk informatik.

The study is a consecutive, randomized controlled multicenter trial, investigating the feasibility and safety of a telemedicine based treatment regimen in COPD patients, compared to conventional hospital treatment.

Center for Sundheds-telematik beskæftiger sig med elektronisk kommunikation inden for sundhedssektoren. Centeret blev etableret i december 1994 på baggrund af et initiativ fra Fyns Amt. Idéen var på ét sted at samle de mange projekter, der havde at gøre med sundhedssektorens elektroniske kommunikation.

MedCom er et samarbejde mellem myndigheder, organisationer og private firmaer med tilknytning til den danske sundhedssektor. I økonomiaftalen fra 1999 mellem amterne og Regeringen blev det besluttet at permanentgøre MedCom med følgende formål:

"MedCom skal bidrage til udvikling, afprøvning, udbredelse og kvalitetssikring af elektronisk kommunikation og information i sundhedssektoren med henblik på at understøtte det gode patientforløb"

The goal of the Nordic Telemedicine Association (NTA) is to facilitate Nordic co-operation and co-operation between Nordic countries and the rest of the world in the field of telemedicine and telecare, and co-ordinate the arrangements of a Nordic Telemedicine Congress every two years.

Nasjonalt senter for samhandling og telemedisin (NST) er et forsknings- og kompetansesenter som skal samle, produsere og formidle kunnskap om telemedisinske tjenester, nasjonalt og internasjonalt. Kompetansen bygges gjennom forskning og utviklingsprosjekt. Den effektueres gjennom våre medarbeidere og verdier som åpenhet, modighet og pålitelighet.

The American Telemedicine Association is the leading resource and advocate promoting access to medical care for consumers and health professionals via telecommunications technology. ATA seeks to bring together diverse groups from traditional medicine, academic medical centers, technology and telecommunications companies, e-health, medical societies, government and others to overcome barriers to the advancement of telemedicine through the professional, ethical and equitable improvement in health care delivery.

The TIE provides an online, unbiased, all-inclusive platform for information on telemedicine and telehealth. It is aimed at health professionals and those interested in telemedicine worldwide who are directly or peripherally involved in a wide variety of healthcare delivery services who have an interest in the practice of telemedicine.

The programme on eHealth aims to support countries in further developing their health systems by improving access, quality and efficiency through the use of information and communication technologies.
